This is a funny intellectual posts, but I haven’t' seen on lately so I went out of my comfort zone and pushed myself intellectually! I was flipping the stations yesterday after school and saw Homework Hotline was on. I flipped right past it, but then went back. I watched to entire show and answered as many questions as I could. I actually learned something.

I really pushed myself yesterday after lunch. I my friend was selling candy bars and I so wanted one! But I know eating it would fit into my goal, so I pushed myself to donate a dollar to her and told her to keep the candy bar. It was tough to resist, but I'm glad I did! PY FR

Love the post about the Faculty insanity! Where is the picture!

Physically
Led a group of 8 teachers I work with through an Insanity workout today for our wellness faculty meeting. One said she kept looking at my PY shirt for motivation. They all liked the shirt even more when "YOU MUST" and "TO BE BETTER" showed up. So I got a great workout in and educated some coworkers about PY at the same time.

Physically
Came down with a nasty head cold this weekend. Of course it comes the weekend before phase 2 of Insanity. Pushed myself through the third Fit test and then gave it my all in Max Interval Circuit. Knew I had to push myself when my coworker/ workout partner came in wearing the PY shirt I got her for Christmas.

I woke up at 5am on a Sat to play tennis with a friend. We even got to the gym before it opened. Crazy right? I agree, but it was a great way to start the day and by 10am I had all my choirs, exercise, laundry done. The rest of the day was a breeze. Well worth not hitting the snooze. J Mac

I showed, rather told my friends how to live the PY lifestyle. As we left work there was some plastic bags blowing in the wind right in front of us. We ALL saw them, but they choose to "not" see them. I picked them up and we went on our way. They asked why, and I told them about PY. I think they liked the idea. Jim B

My friend is just getting into exercising to make herself healthier. I was exhausted after work, but she needed a little extra motivation. She asked me to help her exercise, and it was the last thing I wanted to do. But you can't turn a friend down who is just trying to push herself. Her motivation motivated me. Thanks Andrea \

I had not been in the gym day, had to promise myself to get there. I did, 20 min run/walk...then the ball machine so I could get better to beat Nate H...then back to the treadmill for 20 more min run/walk. PV

Not so much a New Year's resolution as a Mid-Life Mission, I've hit the gym again - starting on the treadmill and working my way to being faster and stronger. To make my time on the treadmill more interesting I'm setting a goal of walking/jogging/running 250+ miles by my birthday in July. Wish me luck! I've done 4 already, so 246 to go...

The thing about growing into adulthood in the US is that people spreadout. Of my many good high school and college friends, I only live inthe same city as two of them. So when I sent out an email to fivehigh school friends, all living in different cities, asking them tomeet in Philadelphia in 10 months to run a marathon, I didn't expectmany "I'll be there" responses. What happened was amazing. Not only did everyone agree to themarathon, our number expanded as we invited more friends. Two thingswere decided early on, we needed to make T-shirts and we needed PushYourself wristbands. Push yourself became our catch phrase as wecalled each other throughout the months of training to offer messagesof encouragement. Instead of five, the final number of runners was 11. For 8 of us itwas our first marathon. Everyone finished. Everyone wore a PYwristband. Even my wife, cheering us on, waswearing a PY wristband. Great moment for us, and great to have a slogan that representssomething meaningful. Push Yourself.

What should I post?

Changing the world may seem like a daunting task. However, every one doing a little good = a lot of good. Remember: Push Yourself is the act of stepping outside of your comfort zone to stir and cultivate a movement that changes the world.

"So, what can I post about? How can I make a difference?"

It can be as simple as picking up some trash on your way into the store or work. Here are some examples of simple to extreme posts in each of the Four Push Yourself Pillars. You can post simple to extreme and everything in between. Every positive action is post-worthy and every post holds others accountable.
